The benefit of drinking alkaline water is that it assist in the absorption of minerals. We know that if the body is not absorbing enough minerals, it will consume menerals from the body minerals reserve, chiefly calcium from the bones.

Another benefit of drinking alkaline water is to help reduce the burden on the limited alkaline buffers which are needed for the body's natural detoxification processes.
